            Is smoking good for the health? No, it is bad for the health and it can cause different kinds of diseases. It is also known as a silent killer. Smoking can lead to addiction and it is hard to stop it. Smoking is harmful because it will cause lung cancer, brain damage and ear infections.

            Smoking can cause lung cancer because it contains chemicals that can destroy the lungs. These chemicals will stay in one’s lungs and will cause a severe damage in the lungs. Brain damage is also an effect of smoking. Nicotine is present in cigarettes which destroys brain cells. Another result of smoking is ear infections. Ear infection is common to children whose parents are smoking around them. Secondhand smoking can lower the body resistance to bacterial infections.

            Lung cancer, brain damage and ear infections are only some of the reasons why smoking is dangerous. Cigarette smoking is unhealthy, so as secondhand smoking. One’s life is at risk when addicted to smoking. The diseases stated above can lead to death. Therefore, avoid smoking to avoid these diseases.
